Antique rosary in coral, silver and mother of pearl
Sciacca coral rosary with 28 faceted spheres and 6 mother-of-pearl spheres.
The chain with the cross and the medal are in silver.
On the medal on one side there is the Madonna, on the other there is Santa Philomena and it is dated 1830.
In good condition for use.
It can be considered as a jewel.
First half of the 19th century
Filomena of Rome (about 290 – Rome, about 304) was a very young Christian, martyr for the faith, venerated as a saint.
She is the patroness of impossible causes and her anniversary is August 11th.
